Welcome to our new Highland Tenants Voice website! I'm Lorna Simpson and started work as the new Tenant ParticipationOfficer for Caithness Sutherland and Easter Ross on 22 March 2010. Its early days and yes I know its a huge area but hopefully I will meet lots of tenants and community groups who have an interest in housing issues. Over the next few months I will be working with all the Registered Tenants Groups in the area as well as tenants who are part of the Register of Interested Groups. I plan to use this website to update everybody who is interested in housing and community development on what is happening around the area.

Not being a wonderfully technical person, it will take me a while to get used to this website but patience is a great virtue I'm told, so hope that you will bear with me! I would be delighted to hear from you and get your views on the Council housing issues. This website is for you as a tenant so keep in touch and let me know how things are in your area. It will also be good to get an insight into what is happening with groups in your area and also outwith Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross.
Just a little reminder that the Highland Council are holding their annual Highland Tenants Conference on Saturday 13 November 2010 in the Council Chamber, Inverness. It is open to all tenants and was great fun last year - we would be delighted to see you this year!
